Dr. Saritha Shetty has rich work experience of ~20y both in academic as well as in the Pharma Industry. At initial days of her professional career, she served as Scientist in Analytical R&D at Syngene Intl. Pvt. Ltd. (A Biocon Group), Bangalore. She completed projects of major clients like Baxter ACC – (Baxter Anesthesia Critical Care, New Jersey, USA) for analytical method development and validation using HPLC and GC as per ICH guidelines.

Later, she joined SVKMs NMIMS (deemed to be University) as an academician to pursue her research and teaching career. She also served as Section Head – Pharmaceutics and In-charge of Pilot Plant. Played an Instrumental role in setting up the Central Instrumental Lab and Pilot Plant at SPPSPTM, NMIMS.

Developed various curricula and modules for lab work and designed various skilled activity programs with innovative pedagogy tools for both UG and PG programs at SPPSPTM, NMIMS. Organized various faculty development programs, seminars, workshops, conferences of national and international repute.

Over 17yrs of academic experience at NMIMS, Dr. Shetty has served as Member of the Board of Studies. She has also held responsibilities like In-charge of Examination committee, Alumni cell, Women Development Cell, Discipline committee, Student Grievance committee, Blackboard Committee and Sports committee. She has organized various workshops and skill building activities for faculty members and PG students. She hosted SVKM’s NMIMS Convocations, DST Inspire Internship Science Camp (2014), National Conference (NCNDDR) 2015 and Artificial Intelligence International Conference- 2016. Also been an active member for the PCI, NBA and NAAC inspections for regulatory approvals of NMIMS programs.

Dr. Shetty also delivered a talk as a guest speaker at Chromatographic Society’s International conference held at The GlaxoSmithKline R&D laboratories at Ware, UK. She has been invited as a guest speaker, jury or panel member for various inter and intra-collegiate events. She has served as an examiner for various university level assessments for PG and doctoral programs; judged academic posters and presentations at National and International events.
