Diploma in Pharmacy is a specialized educational program designed to prepare students for careers in the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare settings and community pharmacies. This diploma provides foundational knowledge in pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical sciences and patient care, equipping the learners with the skills necessary to support both physicians and patients and in the process contribute effectively to the healthcare system. The diploma program encompasses a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical skills that help to develop the technical skills, analytical skills, communication skills and problem-solving skills. The learners undergo intensive pharmacy training at the end of their two-year course. This enables students to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world environments and develop skills that are highly valued by employers.

Diploma in Pharmacy (as per Directorate of Technical Education norms) For centralized admission:The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination or its equivalent examination with physics, chemistry as compulsory subjects and either mathematics or biology.
For admission under institute level: Eligibility is same as above. Admission will be strictly as per the merit list of candidates.

Pharmacy diploma holders can pursue various roles, including:
1. Pharmacist: In pharmacy stores, hospital pharmacies etc. in charge of dispensing medications and managing inventory.
2. Community Pharmacist: Supporting operations in retail pharmacies
3. Pharmaceutical Sales Representative: Promoting pharmaceutical products to healthcare providers.
4. Quality Control Technician:Ensuring pharmaceutical products meet quality standards.
5. Pharmaceutical Manufacturing: : Production of quality medications Additionally, Diploma holders can pursue higher education for wider career prospects.

The Fees for D.Pharm. is fixed for Rs. 1,00,000 for the academic year 2024 – 2025. The refund of the fees shall be as per the direction of the Government

1. Pharmacy Knowledge: Possess knowledge and comprehension of the core and basic knowledge associated with the profession of pharmacy.
2. Modern tool usage: Learn, select, and apply appropriate methods and procedures, resources, and modern pharmacy-related computing tools with an understanding of the limitations.
3. Leadership skills: Understand and consider the human reaction to change, motivation issues, leadership and team-building when planning changes required for fulfillment of practice, professional and societal responsibilities. Assume participatory roles as responsible citizens or leadership roles when appropriate to facilitate improvement in health and wellbeing
4. Professional Identity: Understand, analyze and communicate the value of their professional roles in society (e.g. health care professionals, promoters of health, educators, managers, employers, employees).
5. Pharmaceutical Ethics: : Honour personal values and apply ethical principles in professional and social contexts. Demonstrate behavior that recognizes cultural and personal variability in values, communication and lifestyles. Use ethical frameworks; apply ethical principles while making decisions and take responsibility for the outcomes associated with the decisions.
6. Communication: Communicate effectively with the pharmacy community and with society at large, such as, being able to comprehend and write effective reports, make effective presentations and documentation, and give and receive clear instructions.
7. The Pharmacist and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety and legal issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional pharmacy practice.
8. Environment and sustainability: : Understand the impact of the professional pharmacy solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
