About Library

At the Institute of Pharmacy, it is a belief to facilitate production and dissemination of knowledge, information, insights and intellect in all scientific communities. Our Pharmacy Library caters to the needs of pharmacy students and researchers, providing access to pharmaceutical sciences literature, compounding references, and pharmacy practice resources. It is a hub for innovation and excellence in pharmacy education and research.

Library offers resources and encourages the thinking process, creativity, inquisitiveness and makes the learning more fruitful. The library is highly sophisticated with state-of-art facilities. It has adopted open source software KOHA for integrated library Management. We have around 1500 books and about 12 journals for students. The library plays a vital role in the collection, development and dissemination of scientific information and includes a wide range of volumes of different branches of Pharmacy, Sciences and allied subjects and also provides extensive access to leading Indian and international research journals.

Library has a user-friendly environment. The research, reading and book section areas are made accessible to library users. Demarcated areas for the library staff has also made it even more convenient for them to render services. The overall seating capacity along with seating capacity in the reading room, study center area with 9 personal computers and Research area is 109. There is a separate section for display of magazines and journals and also for new arrivals. Back volumes of magazines and journals are also maintained. A baggage counter area is also provided for students to deposit their bags at the entrance. The entire library is under CCTV surveillance. Books are kept in a compactor system and the books section is fully open access for users to browse through. The overall ambience is extremely attractive and user friendly.

There is a space for reprographic facility. Web OPAC facility is also available on the computers allotted for staff and students as well as via remote access. Soft copies of the latest question papers are also made available to users.

The entire library is fully air conditioned. The daily user attendance is maintained by the library software.

Our endeavor is to develop SIES School of Pharmaceutical Sciences as a center of Academic Excellence. Our holistic approach aims to bridge education and employment gaps, fostering a future-ready workforce.

The library helps to integrate this dynamic educational experience, thus empowering students to become leaders in patient-centred interprofessional care.

Library Resource Centre facilitates resources, information services and required infrastructure for the maximum utilization of the facility by faculty members, staff members and students.
