Pharmaceutical Chemistry

Pharmaceutical chemistry is the branch of pharmacy education that deals with the design and synthesis of biologically active molecules which are then developed into drugs after lead optimization. It also includes the structure-activity relationship of drugs. The branch also includes analysis of drugs for assay, impurity profiling, and stability aspects. Research in this area involves designing novel synthetic and biological molecules and analytical method development.
