Dr. (Ms) Padma V. Devarajan is currently  Advisor Vision & Strategy and Chair Professor (Research & Innovation) at SIES School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. She retired as Senior Professor and Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology, and also served as Dean of Research and Innovation at the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai. She was a member of the ICT Board of Governors and has actively contributed to nurturing academic and research excellence.

An accomplished academic entrepreneur, she founded Instavet Biopharm Pvt. Ltd., and has guided over 100 master's and PhD students. Her research focuses on drug delivery systems and diagnostics for both human and veterinary healthcare, with a strong emphasis on affordable innovations. She holds numerous publications and patents, many of which have been licensed and commercialized in India and Europe.

Dr. Devarajan has served in prestigious roles globally, including as a board member of the Controlled Release Society (USA), editor of international journals, and India's representative in the ISO working group on nanotechnology safety. A recipient of numerous awards, including the Woman Scientist Award 2024 by CRS, USA, and the VASVIK Award, she was also appointed Chair of the National Innovation and Startup Policy 2024 Revision Committee by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
