Dr Priyanka Prabhu

Assistant Professor


She has completed her Ph.D. (Tech.) in Pharmaceutics from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, where she worked on the development of oral and intravenous nanostructured lipid carriers for the treatment of malaria and also on exploring nanostructured lipid carriers as vaccine adjuvants. She has worked at Shobhaben Pratapbhai Patel School of Pharmacy & Technology Management, SVKM’s NMIMS, Mumbai, and D.Y. Patil University School of Pharmacy, Navi Mumbai.

She has taught various courses such as Physical Pharmaceutics-1, Novel Drug Delivery Systems, Pharmaceutical Regulatory Science, Industrial Pharmacy-1, Pharmaceutics, Cosmetic Science, and Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics for the B. Pharm program. She has also taught Hazards and Safety Management course for the M. Pharm (Quality Assurance) program. She has published many research and review papers in peer-reviewed, high-impact factor journals and also published many book chapters with reputed publishers like Elsevier, CRC Press, American Scientific Publishers, Springer, and Bentham Science. She was an Examiner for the M. Pharm thesis at Mumbai University from 2018-2021. She has also served as an Examiner for the M. Pharm thesis at Bombay College of Pharmacy, Kalina. She is also a Reviewer for reputed scientific journals including the Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the International Journal of Nanomedicine, Biomedicine & Pharmacotherapy, the International Journal of Pharmaceutics, and the Journal of Drug Delivery Science and Technology.
